What is Longervity Diet?
A lot of whole grains, veggies, and legumes; some fish; no red or processed meat; and a tiny bit of white meat; refined grains with little sugar; adequate amounts of almonds, olive oil, and dark chocolate.
"Recipes for longevity" include spaghetti with eggplant and tomato sauce topped with ricotta salata, Tuscan bread salad, and couscous with mixed fish, tomatoes, almonds, and garlic. These dishes scarcely seem repulsive.
A few yearly cycles of five-day fasting-mimicking diets, a low-calorie diet created at the Longevity Institute and designed to mimic the body's fasting condition, are also recommended as part of the longevity diet.
